We are proud to announce that FactCheck.org has won the 2011 Webby Award in the Politics category. Known as “the Oscars of the Internet,” the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
This is our third Webby — we won last year and in 2008 — and we are honored to have been selected by the judges from such a prestigious field of nominees. Our fellow finalists for best Politics site were the New York Times, NPR, Politico and PoliPulse, a site from the public affairs firm Powell Tate.
We also would like to thank our readers for voting for our site for the Webby People’s Voice award, which went to NPR. This ends our run as a four-time winner of the People’s Voice award for 2007-2010. We know it was a close race, and we appreciate your support.
