This week, CNN’s Jake Tapper picks a whopper of the year from the top Democratic and Republican candidates for president to discuss in his weekly fact-checking video.
On the Democratic side, Tapper went with Hillary Clinton’s claim that “turning over my server” to the government shows “I have been as transparent as I could” about the emails she sent and received while secretary of state.
On the Republican side, Tapper chose Donald Trump’s claim that he watched on television as “thousands and thousands” of Muslims in New Jersey were “cheering” the fall of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
